Fantastic Jazz from outstanding musicians

So far always excellent artists on my visits at reasonable prices, plus good food and drinks with friendly service. Long live the underrun !!!

A stylish "jazz living room", in which the operators and the service really take care of the implementation of sensible hygiene concepts (sufficient distance, advance registration of contact details, disinfection of all surfaces, etc.) in order to continue to offer fascinating musicians a performance area. The snacks and beer taste good too, so there is nothing to complain about.

Thank goodness there is this place: Munich's top location if you want to listen to jazz. Friendly people, a relaxed and unique atmosphere and really good music - I didn't even know how much I missed all of that after the Corona lockdown. Definitely go there, it's really worth it!

Super jazz club, open every evening.

Great club in an old vaulted cellar. Not too big and not too small. Proximity to the stage allows you to experience everything up close. The service is courteous and quick. Wine selection and food selection small but nice. Gladly again!

Excellent place for jazz lovers. Be aware that reservantion is needed if you want a place to seat. After 23 Hrs., go somewhere else (hint: Werkviertel near OBhf.)

Good location, good food - we have been here several times this week. Reservation really makes sense, I have never seen the subway fully. The prices have increased in recent years, we paid € 18 per person. The food is good and I can only recommend home cooking. The meatballs and the potato salad are a poem, the currywurst with fries is fine and the herring with fried potatoes is rather disappointing. The music was great as always, just really too loud according to our taste.

I'm here 1-2 times a year. First class musicians come here. Very pleasant atmosphere. You can eat something beforehand. Reservations recommended.

Enjoyable Sunday jam night here. Nice space, decent sound, surprisingly good service considering it was just one overworked waitress.

Nice place and good vibes, I would give it a four if it wasn’t for tonight’s terrible music. Thomas Strønen Ensemble gave the WORST performance i have ever experienced in my life. The whole set sounded like a bunch of uncoordinated people who were craving for appreciation tuning their instruments . Such a waste of money.

Cool vibe

Very warm indoor environment. Jazz lovers will feel onstage. The orchestra that I listened to played great, even though they were young. The wine was nice.Meze aspect was a bit weak but the lack of ambiance and music makes it up.

Great intimate space for hearing live jazz; excellent staff!

A great club, with an awful lot of concerts, perhaps too mamy ( a concert every day). But Adam Bałdych tonight wasn't realy good: too predictable and obvious, too stiff, too schematic. There were good moments, but all in all 'Sacrum and Profanum' isn't a good topić for a jazz session. In jazz Profanum is more important, unlews you're Jan Garncarek, and Adam Bałdych is not!

Jazz music lovers would certainly love this place

Great music, relaxed atmosphere.

Hitting a star for a frantic price tag, but this jazz club is just a classic. Famous jazz bands and artists come here. A delicious menu, I advise you to try desserts and soups. The table will have to be shared with another pair of visitors if you come alone. Thanks for the great acoustics and a very cool concert.

Danke. Changed my life. I was in a dark place when I walked in Unterfahrt, 16 hrs flight away from home, lonely, tearful and African American Female by myself in Munchen. The club let me in with my non German self, showering me with love, music, uplifted my spirits to a mental place I haven't left since. The music is amazing. Big Band changed my life course, and Germany forever changed my outlook on life. Thank you all Jazz Unterfahrt, Munchen, and Germany for taking me for who I am and loving me unconditionally. Danke

Great club, great artist. Reminiscent of 90’s NYC jazz clubs.

Nice local underground Jazz where local bands are performing and sometimes jamming. I felt like jumping on the stage and joining 'em :) . Good music, good food (and beers of course), very friendly staff.

Perfect arrangement for classy jazz. Good music. Good food.

There was great food at a reasonable price, the reason why I only gave 4 stars, that many seats do not have a good view of the stage and are very narrow distributed. Now for the most important point, the music, I was lucky because I noticed an artist that I liked, but generally I can praise the room acoustics and it seems to me that the old walls make the music sound older, just like it is used to from old jazz clubs.

Small club with great sound and vibe.

If you like jazz played live.. this is a must visit while in Munich. A bit overpriced in some performances but also offers a wide variety of choices for a very reasonable fee. A very special space also worth seen other art and culture events happening under the earth.

We went here for a jam sessions with an odd theme: techno. Well, the guys really played technoesque sound with drums, trumpet, tuba and the likes. Really great evening. What a surprise. We will have to come back! Make sure that you reserve a bit in advance!
